Since it was founded in 2012, the London Feminist Film Festival’s mission has been to support women and non-binary filmmakers in the male-dominated film industry, to get women’s stories out there, and to inspire feminist discussion and activism. It has been described as a “vacation to feminist-land” by The F-Word, and “calling bullshit on movie machismo” by TimeOut.
Back this summer from 16th to 19th August, it will take place in iconic venues such as the Rio Cinema in Dalston, the Genesis in Mile End, and the BFI Southbank for the Feminist Classic.
The aim of LFFF is to use “the potential of filmmaking as feminist activism and as an agent of social change”. Discover their selection of films from around the world that address pressing and under-discussed feminist issues.
